RECIPE: Slimming World Jelly Sweets

How many does it serve? 2

How long does it take? 10 mins prep a couple of hours to set
 
What do i need?
– 2 sachets of sugar free jelly crystals (3 syns total – 1.5 each)
– 1 sachet of gelatine (usual 9g packets, i used Asda’s own)
– Muller Light (any flavour!)
– 1/2 pint of hot water
– Plastic jelly mould/Ice tray/shallow glass dish
           
How many syns? 3 syns for ALL OF THEM!

What do I do? 
– Mix the 2 jelly sachets and the gelatine powder into the 1/2 pint of hot water and mix well (unsure no lumps!)
– pour 2/3rds of the mixture into a plast jelly mould/ ice teay or flat glass dish. I personally use the shallow glass dish as to make sure there is still enough room for another layer of mixture.
– Place your jelly in a dish in the fridge for around 20/25 minutes or until set.
– Whist your jelly is setting in the fridge mix the whole muller light into the remaining mixture and stir well again.
– Once your jelly has set, pour your milky yogurt mixture of the top of the jelly slowly and carefully.
– Place in the fridge and wait till its set. Usually take a fair few hours, i left mine over night.
– Cut into square or whatever shapes take your fancy.

Nb. Once i’ve cut these up i store in containers in the fridge.

Weigh in tonight, i hope to god that i haven’t gained this week, i’ve tried super hard to stay on plan this weekend too. Just got to think positively (and not eat anything too heavy before 7pm!!!)

Breakfast
– WW Yogurts x 2
– Peppermint Tea
– Water (pint)
– Scan Bran Cookies x 2 (1/2 HEX B + 1/2 syn)

Lunch
– Tuna Steak
– Green Beans
– Passata with roasted veg (courgettes, mushrooms and tomato’s)
– Pepsi Max
– 1/4 pineapple
– Water (pint)

Snacks
– Rich tea fingers x 5 (5 syns)

Dinner
– Dolmio Bolognese low fat sauce (3 syns)
– SuperValu Meatballs x 4 (6 syns)
– Sugar free Squash (pint x 2)

Total Syns: 14 1/2 

Weigh in Week 2

Just got back from my 2nd weigh in. I somehow i managed to lose 3lbs!! Even after those couple of chocolate binges! Onwards and upwards this week. So pleased with myself!

Start Weight: 13 stone 6.5lbs 
Current Weigh: 13stone 0lbs
lbs lost: 6.5

New Year, New Start

I allowed myself Christmas off plan from Slimming World, to enjoy the Christmas holidays (nobody wants to be watching what their eating when theres all these tasty treats around!) So i’ve had around 11 days off, and have eaten SO MUCH food. I do miss my fruits and veggies though. I think roughly i’ve put on around 4lbs, but we’ll see on Thursday, i’m totally ok with this though, as hopefully it’ll be easy enough to loose again.

So before i start on goals for this year, how did i get on last year?

– I decided i needed to take action and make myself happier, i noticed when i was out shopping for clothes that i was getting really frustrated with how i looked and how i could never get clothes in my size when i saw stuff i liked. I was a size 16. I’m now a 12.

– I managed to loose 1 stone 8.5lbs. I’m pretty happy with that, I know a lot of other people have lost tons more but slow and steady right?! I’m hoping to loose that again this year.

– I’m learning alot about cooking and am generally making healthier choices.

I wish when i first started on this journey that i’d taken measurements of my body so this year thats what i’ve done.
– arms 14.5 inches
– thighs (measuring from the cats moustache) 24 inches

Now onto 2013’s goals
– get to the gym a minimum of twice a week
– drop another stone AT LEAST
– drink more water
– stay on plan at the weekends more

Chocolate Weetabix Cake Slimming World Recipe

I love chocolate as much as the next person, and needed my chocolate fix whilst keeping within my syn allowance, this serves my cravings beautifully!

 
How many does it serve? 2 people..  you could obviously double this up if you want to serve more!

How long does it take? 15 minutes
 
What do i need?
2 x Chocolate Weetabix (HEX B) + 2 syns
3 Tblspns of Options Hot Cho (6 syns)
125ml of Water
1 egg
1 Tblspn of Sweetner
How many syns?  8 syns + HEX B in total
4 syns per slice if you cut in half / 2 syns if you cut into 4…
What do I do? 

Break the weetabix up and add the hot water.
Add the rest of the ingredients and mix together until its no longer lumpy and then pop in the microwave in a microwavable dish for about 6 minutes. Keep taking out and sticking a knife in to see whether its cooked, if its gooey throw it back in for another 2 minutes.


Serve with low fat spray cream or a muller light over!
